ENGLISH CONGREGATION

The ENGLISH CONGREGATION is served by its Congregational Pastor, Ministry Staff and the English Congregation Management Committee (ECMC).

The English Congregation is made up mostly of working adults from the ages of 25-60 years with the majority in their 30s-40s. Hence it is not surprising that we have many families with younger children in our midst. We believe in building up strong family units upon the Word of God and living out the biblical values and principles that ensure a faithful testimony before God and man.

As a community of believers in Jesus Christ, the Christian life is to be expressed in loving, caring relationships with one another. This is best nurtured in small groups or care cells which meet weekly for prayer, mutual encouragement and accountability. We believe that ministry (serving others) is the heart of the Christian life (Matthew 20:28) and its scope is not confined to the church but includes the individual’s home, school/ workplace, community etc.

A healthy church is driven by the purposes of God for His people: Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry and Evangelism. In the nurturing environment of the church family, different ways to help people understand, apply, and live out the purposes of God are adopted. We encourage our congregation members to be part of a week-day small group (the cell) where these purposes of God are further lived out with others in the family of God
