I chose the theme: "A different walk" for this commemorative teeshirt because it has several meanings.

On the most basic level, which applies to the walkathon itself, this walkathon is quite different from the usual. A different walk - we're walking back to the place we were brought out from.

But this "different walk" is symbolic as well, because of the journey Kum Yan has taken these few years while the new foundations of no.1 Queen Street were being laid.

Just as Jacob, after being touched by God at the hip, had a different walk, so too, the Kum Yan family has experienced the touch of God - through both joy and pain, even the loss of dear ones.

And now, we have a different walk - one of increased faith, increased brokenness, increased determination to complete the race marked out for us. It IS really ok to walk a little different from the rest of the world...that's how world changers walk.
